Lesson 2 Writing off your list
Xavier Basketball
-Cintas Center: Located on campus. Built within the last 10 years. Father Hoff’s dream. Students center is attached. Banquet Hall Room overlooks the court. Wedding Receptions, reunions and other events are held in the banquest room. On the otherside is the Joseph club. The Joseph club sits above the court too. It is all glass view onto the court. You can get speciality food and drinks in the Joseph Club. It takes a special ticket to get in. Suites are located on the sides of the center. Each suite holds about 25 people. It is like having a living room at the game.
-Coaches: Sean Miller is the current coach. He was an assistant at Xavier before he got the head coach gig. Sean played basketball at Pitt University. He is famous for making the pass to Jerome Lane when he shattered the backboard with a dunk.
Skip Prosser left Xavier for Wake Forest. Skip was a run a gun coach. His team’s like to push the ball. Skip had okay success in the NCAA Tournament. Skip was an assistant at Xavier before he went to Loyola, Maryland for a year. Skip was named head coach after Pete Gillian left. Skip suffered an untimely heart attack this past summer.
Pete Gillan coached Xavier to several NCAA appearances before leaving for Providence University. Pete looked a lot like David Letterman. He was known for his funny comments.
- Players: Byron Larkin is the leading scorer in Xavier history. He is analyst for XU right now. Byron is one of the elading scorers in NCAA history. He lead XU to an NCAA upset of Mizzou in 1990.
Tyron Hill was a power forward at Xavier in the late 80s and early 90s. He was part of the team that beat Georgetown for a trip to the Sweet 16.
David West was a star player in the early 2000s. West was a first round draft pick of New Orleans. He was named college player of the year.

The buckeys are in the tunnle in their pads and uniforms.You can almost hear them banging their gray and red hellmets.They are yelling in exitment.They are coming out on to the feild in their red and white uniforms.The crowd goes to the yelling and screaming.The crowd is all in red at the game.Their pants are grey with red stripes.
Jim has coached for the buckeys 22 years.Jim used to coach for youngstown state,but he is coaching for ohio state now.Sometimes he gives good plays.Sometimes he doesn`t.Sometimes he calls the same plays.But he is pretty good at plays.
Four players I know are Troy Smith,Ted Ginn jr,Cris Wells(Beany Wells),and Todd Beckman.They are all great players.Troy and Ted are in the NFL becuse they were really good.Troy is playing for the ravens and Ted is playing for the dolfins.Cris and Todd is still playing for the buckeys.I hope they have a great year.
